Dr. med (I) Valeria A. Combi is a maxillofacial surgeon specialising in orthognathic (jaw) surgery and aesthetic surgery of the face, cosmetic and anti-age medicine.
Dr. Combi’s private practice, COMBIFACE DESIGN, is located in Zollikon, Zürich.
Relying on a holistic approach, COMBIFACE DESIGN, utilises the most advanced medical techniques
and the best products on the market to treat facial rejuvenation, harmonisation and beautification .
Originally from Lecco, the city made famous by Alessandro Manzoni, author of the iconic novel ‘’The
Betrothed’’' -’I promessi Sposi'-, Dr. Combi receives her high school diploma in Science, and subsequently
enrols in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan. After graduating, she begins her
career in 2008.
Dr. Combi completes her maxillofacial surgery residency at Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico IRCCS Cà
Granda in Milano at the cranio-maxillo-facial department (Prof. A.B. Giannì - Prof. F. Biglioli, Prof. R.
Brusati)
Between 2010 and 2012 she collaborates with the world-expert for orthognathic, cosmetic and
feminization face surgery, Prof. M. Raffaini at the Face Surgery centre in Parma, Italy.
Following her time in Milan, Dr. Combi travels to Zürich, Switzerland to undertake a fellowship (2012-2013)
at the University Hospital Zurich in the Craniomaxillofacial Department - which is known for its pioneering
work in the genesis of orthognathic surgery and for being one of the highest volume centres for
orthognathic surgery in the world- she has the honour to meet Prof. H. Obwegeser. During the same time
she frequents Dr A. Triaca, one of the leading experts in bone distraction, in his Maxillofacial Surgery
Centre, at the well-known Klinik Pyramide am See in Zurich.
In order to expand and deepen her expertise by liaising with world-renowned experts, Dr. Combi travels to
Barcelona, Spain, where she works alongside Dr. H. Alfaro, and to Burges, in the Netherlands, where she
meets Dr. S.Gwen, both pioneers and innovators of craniofacial 3D-planned surgery.
After invaluable years spent in Zürich, she returns to Milan, where in 2016 she obtains her board
certification in Maxillofacial Surgery .
